Description
The NAT-PM-AC1000 is a superior AC/DC Power Module for high-power demanding MTCA applications. It is hot-swappable, fully redundant, and fully compatible with any standard compliant FRU in being insertable into a MTCA chassis.
The NAT-PM-AC1000 provides up to 1000W output power for a total of 16 power channels for the expected workload of 12 AMCs, 2 CUs, and 2 MCHs with 12V @ 6.6A max. and 3.3V @ 180mA max. Due to its superior resources, even high-power demanding AMCs can be operated simultaneously with full performance.
Additionally, it supports backup power for up to three other Power Modules in the MTCA system (shared management power – SMP).
A robust Enhanced Module Management Controller (EMMC) interfaces the power control functionality via the Intelligent Platform Management Bus (IPMB) to the MCH.
Via LEDs at the front panel, the module monitors its total power load in real time. Moreover, it owns indication LEDs for hot-swap, failure, and heartbeat.
