VPX

As a successor of the well-established VME standard, VPX combines the robustness and variety of VME with today’s high bandwidth demands by including the latest PCI(e) standards. The abbreviation ‘VPX’ is derived from VME, PCI and X, which represents the extents for both buses standards.

Significant advantage of VPX is the common use of conduction cooling and very robust and fail-safe plug connections, which makes it suitable for extremely rough environments, such as military use.
