Description

The NAT-AMC-LM-ADV is dedicated to simulate and verify electrical and thermal load conditions of MTCA systems and ATCA blades.

It is equipped with eight thermal elements on top, each consisting of two MOSFETs, an operational amplifier, and a temperature sensor. By an Atmel SAMV71 microcontroller, these elements are configurable independently from each other in a range from 0 to 15W, which equals 120W in total. For safety reasons, the power drain in standard mode is restricted. Theoretically, the segments are able to generate up to 40W, which demands special precautions regarding cooling etc. If this usage is required, please contact N.A.T.

Moreover, on the bottom side of the module are four pairs of resistors, each pair also independently configurable by the microcontroller. The total power output of these segments is 12W.
