Description

The NATIVE-C2 is a 2U, 19”-wide MTCA.0 chassis for up to 12 AMCs and a high-speed backplane for up to 40G Ethernet. Moreover, the chassis supports up to 2 Power Modules and 2 MCHs, so it grants various levels of redundancy.

With the possibility to mount the maximum number of AMCs in one MTCA system, the NATIVE-C2  give users the flexibility to configure this system for a wide range of applications, such as enterprise, industrial control, telecom, wireless, and others.

Payload Boards

In standard configuration, the NATIVE-C2 is a MTCA.0 chassis for up to 12 single-width mid-size AMC modules. All modules are arranged horizontally. On request, other combinations are feasible e.g., mounting of double-width and/or full-size modules. The unique card guide design eases the insertion and removal of AMCs.

Hence, the NATIVE-C2 provides system designers the most performance per U.

Redundant and flexible Infrastructure

The NATIVE-C2 provides up to 2 single-width full-size MCH slots. Moreover, the chassis supports up to 2 single-width full-size Power Modules. So numerous redundancy options are possible.

Below the second PM slot, the chassis can accomodate a JTAG Switch Module (e.g. a custom sized NAT-JSM).

Towards the backplane, the NATIVE-C2 MTCA.0 chassis offers high-speed FatPipe connections (2x 4 lanes towards every AMC) and hence up to 40G Ethernet. The replaceable, redundant fabric backplane improves the serviceability of the system.

Cooling Performance

The NATIVE-C2 chassis features 2 Cooling Units (CU), fully managed and hot-swappable. Air flows from right to the left; side-by-side cooling is supported.

Each Cooling Unit tray owns eight fans in push-pull configuration, and one cooling management module (EMMC), which connects directly to the backplane.

Total air flow of all fans sums up to 160 CFM (272 m³/h).
