Description

The NAT-FMC-PoE is an FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) VITA 57.1 standard compliant Ethernet switch module with support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

Due to their high speed interconnect topology, FMC modules are the ideal platforms to aggregate and process high bandwidth data streams as provided i.e. by camera links and video streams.

The NAT-FMC-PoE is equipped with four RJ45 ports which offer four GbE-Links with Power over Ethernet function towards the front panel. The interface complies with IEEE802.3af standard (15.4W per link with additional power feed).

The FMC mezzanine is dedicated to powerful FPGA-based carrier boards like NAMC-ARRIA10-FMC or NAT-AMC-ZYNQUP-FMC, which by their FPGA provide the processing resources i.e. for the GigE Vision* protocol. In this combination, the NAT-FMC-PoE can be used for first level picture or video processing and analysis

*GigE Vision® is a global camera interface standard developed using Gigabit Ethernet, allowing for fast image transfer using low-cost standard CAT5 or CAT6 cables over very long lengths.
